Photographs are hard copy memories

Memories of a person, time, place, or event can be triggered by any of the senses. Sight, sound, smell, or physical touch is powerful.

Wildlife Photography

When capturing images of wildlife we want to make every effort to leave the animal undisturbed. Stay a safe and respectful distance away, for the benefit of the animal’s health and habitat, and of course your own safety. Many wildlife encounters turn ugly quickly because an individual encroaches too closely. The benefit of being respectful is that when you are done, the animal can go about their normal activities and are available for others to observe.

Mood

Color, atmosphere, and lighting can help to influence the mood of an image. Using these adequately can express these feelings to the viewer of the picture.

Epic images can be awe-inspiring, but don’t settle for just the epic image, be an individual and hunt for a new unique composition.
